it HAS to have a dialup modem. and it would be cool if it werent from prehistoric times either, hahaha. i dont understand them, or else i’d be doing the research, lol
THANKS!
To be honest with you, I haven’t seen any companies that offer netbooks with a built-in RJ-11 Port. Why? I think because the dial up internet connection isn’t being used nowadays. Why not get an expressard to RJ-11 port or a USB rj-11 adapter?
In case, you would consider those options, these are the two best netbook manufacturers that you can check out…Asus or HP…
Asus offers a very inexpensive netbook with longer battery life than the usual competition (acer , MSI, and samsung) and offers their product in 8.9" to 10" screens…However, I haven’t seen any asus netbook with XP Pro, they always come with XP Home…But they are the only company that offers the 1004DN model which has a built-in optical drive.
HP has a lot more to offer though you’ve got to pay a little more bucks than asus, example is their 8.5 hour battery life in the HP mini 1101 with a sleek design , optional GOBI mobile broadband module (universal WWAN card for any carrier) , and XP Pro with vista business bonus media kit for upgrade.
check these two recommended models for you…

You may also check acer and samsung but to me there aren’t so much different features offered than the other two brands.

no netbooks have dial up modems. if anything, buy an acer aspire one. they are about the cheapest. buy one and then buy an external dial up modem.
