My friend is looking into getting one of two laptops, and she needs to know exactly what she needs to get wireless internet. She’s looking to get either the Dell Mini 10v Netbook http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/dell-mini-10v-netbook/4505-3121_7-33667336.html?tag=box4505 or the HP Mini 1151nr Laptop http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/hp-mini-1151nr/4505-3121_7-33658728.html?tag=mncol;lst
Are the items needed for wireless different between each of these? I need someone to please tell me exactly what she needs to buy to get wireless on both of these computers. If someone could give me two lists for the two laptops… I’d appreciate it.
PS: I know absolutely nothing about wireless internet for computers, so if you could explain it the easiest way possible.. haha ![]()
I would get the Dell unless you want the Verizon package for some reason (which you MUST get with the HP for either $40 0r $60 / month)

If your talking about Wireless on a laptop most laptops/netbooks have it built in and is included in the price..
You also need need a wireless router with an ISP provider
YOu can look at some netbooks here –>

Most laptops these days have wireless built in. You need a wireless router at home to connect it to (or a neighbor too clueless to encrypt his wireless network). If you have an older laptop that did not come with wireless built in you can buy a USB wireless connector,

Yes they both have internal wireless network cards. That’s why they’re called "net"books
If you are going to use it at home you will need a wireless router or a wireless access point to attach to your modem.
